Sterling Finishing, Inc. can accept information via electronic file transfer. This can be achieved by sending your file by email, or in the case of larger files, over 2MB, they can be sent to us on CD, Zip100, or by multiple 3.5" floppy disks. PLEASE do not send files by email that are larger than 2MB - our server will reject the file.
To ensure proper transfer and appearance:
- Macintosh files MUST be converted to PC format (please check for correctness in the platform transfer)
- If the files you are sending to Sterling are compressed (i.e. WinZip, StuffIt…), again, please make sure that software being used for the compression is available for Windows.
- If you are sending a document that uses fonts other than the standard fonts that comes with Microsoft Windows, please include them in your email
- If there are any external images linked to your file, you must include them in your email.
Macintosh users - read the information on font embeding that we have gathered (it makes a big difference) - thank you
Do not send any self-extracting (ie executable) files - our server will reject them - keep your files compressed with the native software (WinZip, StuffIt…)
